X-005b | A01 | The platform against violence started up a year and half ago. It is formed of different representatives from different groups and people. The reason for the creation of the platform, and its aims are to adapt concrete measures to fight against violence and to recommend that all those concerned should assume their responsibility in this field. They made an analysis of the situation and arising from that they created groups and proposals. The main objective is to create an integral plan. They went to the Parliament to try to get two main points: to make society more conscious of the problem and to present their proposals so that the Parliament might adapt the means to carry out the plan proposed by them. At present, the proposed change in the law is paralysized. The relationship which they have with the political bodies. With a view to the future, they have the intention of continuing to work for these two principal points; to make people more aware of the problem and to present proposals. As well as the domestic violence of battered partners, they must also work on the violence suffered by young people, violence at work and violence in prison. To contribute to this the administration, the teaching staff, the business people…etc. all must help towards taking steps to stop it. Only the women who are in a situation which they can no longer stand come to them for help. As well as long term measures, some intermediate measures should be adopted. | |
